First Legal Construction

We will advise you on the likely direction and schedule of the matter and possible options available to you, to the extent available, at the time when we meet with you and receive details of your request for services. We will provide our legal advice on legal issues on the spot to the extent we are able to do so.

Our legal fees for the first face-to-face legal consultation are Yen 11,000 per hour (including consumption tax).

We will explain the details of our legal fees and applicable expenses when we accept your request for services. You can find a summary of our legal fees below.

Legal Fee

The method for calculating our legal fees depends on the nature of the matter and the client’s requirements. Our principal methods for calculating our legal fees are “Time Charge” or “Retainer and Contingent Fee” as set out below:

Time Charge:
Our legal fees will be based on the time spent by the lawyers working on your matter and the hourly charging rates applicable to those lawyers from time to time.

Retainer and Contingent Fees:
A retainer fee will be charged when we accept your request for services. A contingency fee will be charged depending on the degree of success of the outcome of your matter in addition to the retainer fee.

We will provide clients with an estimate of our fees and costs upon request and to the extent possible.
