Measures to be taken by business operators for Amendments to Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations

Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (“Act”) was amended and relevant amendments are currently enforced in a step-by-step manner. Business operators are required to take necessary measures to prevent inappropriate inducement of customers caused by unjustifiable premiums and misleading representations. Surcharge system will be introduced on misleading representations. Newly-established Exemption from the Conversion of Fixed-term Employment Contract into Indefinite-term Employment Contract

On 28 November 2014, “Act on Special Measures concerning employees with expertise, etc. employed by a fixed-term employment contract (“Act”)” was promulgated.  The Act enables employers to continue a fixed-term employment contract without applying the Conversion Rule.  Please refer to this link for further information.
